Tip#11 : REMOVING SHORTCUT ARROW IN THE ICONS
Here's how you can remove those shortcut arrows from your desktop icons in Windows XP.
Click windows key+r
1. type regedit.
2. Navigate to KEY_CLASSES_ROOT==>lnkfile
3. Delete the IsShortcut registry value.
